Anfibio is one of Scarpa Spa 's most iconic footwear, still made entirely in Italy and hand-stitched!
Lifestyle shoe with Trekking inspirations (from the resistance of the leather of the upper, to the stitching, to the Vibram sole), the Amphibian is SCARPA 's flagship.
For its creation, the company turns to its best leather craftsmen, expert and trained generation after generation ( Pari himself under his father was a master leather craftsman), obviously in the historic headquarters in Asolo.
Not only the workmanship, but above all the material is of the highest quality: the upper of the Amphibian is in fact totally in fine Wasser leather (single piece with hand-sewn tray).
Norwegian workmanship
One of the characteristics that distinguishes the high quality of this model lies in the stitching of the sole/upper with a type of stitching called "Norwegian" because it originates from northern Europe, but is widely used by Italian shoemakers.
A linen thread is taken and a double topstitch is made, first by sewing the insole and upper together, then passing between the upper and midsole.
The result is incredible resistance and durability.
Vibram ® lug sole
The Vibram® tread is the one with the classic, very famous "carrarmato" design, designed by the founder of the company, Vitale Bramani as a technical sole for hiking.
In short, the Amphibian is a shoe rich in history and always modern, suitable for all situations, from the office to a trip outside the city... up to the construction site! In fact, they call it "engineer's shoe" precisely because of its resistance and comfort! ;)
