This vintage 1960s Chester Weinberg printed silk Peter Pan collar shirtwaist dress has a very Miu Miu vibe— it's the very type of 1960s/1970s design Miuccia Prada has leaned on heavily for decades. Chester Weinberg was a New York based designer popular in the 1960s and 1970s (he was later an early designer for Calvin Klein) and he was very much known for designs focused on high quality fabrics— this dress is no exception! It’s crafted of lush silk with a whimsical mod print, complete with a belt. The Peter Pan collar and cuffs create a trompe-l'œil effect of a blouse layered underneath; this contrasting detail is crafted of a silken fabric with a slight slub to it. The dress features a fitted bodice with a shirtwaist, and a skirt with pleated details. It can also be worn without the belt. Fabric contents are not indicated, feels like silk.
Measurements: This will work best for a size X-Small and Small. It is somewhat better suited for petite proportions, although it is shown on someone taller (5’7”)— it’s a bit narrow through the shoulders and arms.
