A one-off collection of Princess Diana’s wedding dress fabric.

These large fabric samples come from the same pieces of material that designers David and Elizabeth Emanuel used to make Diana’s wedding dress for her 1981 marriage to Prince Charles.

These pieces were in the same room, on the same table, and part of the same fabric as arguably the most famous wedding dress of all time. They are witnesses to history.

The closest you will come to owning Diana’s wedding dress, which is now owned by Princes William and Harry.

Details of the collection:

1. Diana’s wedding dress silk taffeta

Two swatches measuring approx. 45 by 10 inches in total.

Ivory-coloured silk taffeta used to make the exterior of Diana's wedding dress. Created in a heavy weight to give the dress its distinctive shape.

Britain’s oldest silk weaving company, Stephen Walters, wove the taffeta.

The company also created the lining for Queen Elizabeth II's coronation gown and Princess Anne’s wedding dress.

2. Diana wedding dress silk lining

Two swatches: 30 x 10 inches and 50 x 15 inches.

Ivory-coloured silk used to make the inner lining of Diana's wedding dress. Slightly coarser than the identically coloured silk taffeta used for the dress’ exterior.

3. Silk taffeta for Diana’s train

Two swatches, approx. 40 x 10 inches in total.

Ivory-coloured silk taffeta used for the majority of Diana’s train. Diana’s train was 25 feet long – she kept asking for it to be extended.

4. Fine lace for the train’s border

Approx. 20 x 5 inches.

Elegant ivory-coloured fine lace used for the train's border.

5. Spangled lace for Diana’s train, bodice and bottom of Diana’s wedding dress

Beautifully intricate spangled lace used to trim Diana’s bodice, train and the foot of her wedding dress.

One piece measures approx. 78 inches long and the other approx. 196 inches long. A 29 inch segment of the longer strand is backed with the silk taffeta material used for the dress.

6. Lace for Diana’s wedding shoes

Comes with a card that states "43.5 M" (true length unmeasured).

Ivory-coloured lace used for Princess Diana's wedding shoes. The fine lace features a three-petal floral pattern. This lace bordered the heart design on Diana's shoes.

7. Bridesmaid garment collection

For the bridesmaids' dress bands

- Four bolts of ivory-coloured lace used for Princess Diana's bridesmaids' dresses, measuring 5.5 inches wide, annotated "17.4 M"

- A piece of the sleeve of a bridesmaid's dress, measuring 11 inches in diameter, comprised of a layer of silk and a layer of lace

- A 60 inch length of lace for the sleeves or hem of a bridesmaid's dress, with a tag annotated "Clementine," attributing it to the dress of Clementine Hambro - great-granddaughter of Winston Churchill (also known as 'the sobbing bridesmaid’)

- Thirteen pieces of yellow-gold silk taffeta (inspired by the colour of the Mountbatten rose) used for the bridesmaids' dress bands, in various cuts and sizes

- Two cut swatches of the ivory silk used for the bridesmaids' dresses, each measuring approx. 18.5 x 7 inches

About the dress:

Princess Diana’s wedding dress was one of the most closely guarded secrets in fashion history. Reporters only found out the particulars of the dress when they ripped open sealed envelopes as Diana stepped into her carriage at Clarence House to begin her journey to the ceremony.

  • It took David and Elizabeth Emanuel three months to make, and featured hand embroidery, sequins and 10,000 pearls.
  • Its design set the trend for 1980s wedding dresses.
  • In 2018 Time magazine declared it the "Most Influential British Royal Wedding Dress of All Time".

Designers the Emanuels stated they wanted the dress "to go down in history”, but also be “something that Diana loved". They thoroughly succeeded. This is your chance to own seven pieces of that story.

Tough Bunny
Style: Bunny
So far so good. We’ve been able to play tug-of-war with it several times and it’s not ripped apart. That’s why I gave it 5 stars. My dog has big teeth and a strong body. So this bunny is tough Only time will tell if it’s really worth the money

My puppy hasn’t been able to destroy it yet. All other toys have only lasted about 10 minutes.

Favorite fetch
We have a 70 lb Aussie and a 13 lb Havanese who compete with each other to fetch toys. This hedgehog is their favorite, largely due to the loud assertive squeak. Our big dog is a chewer and has a history of getting to any squeaker in a toy, once nearly choking when successfully removing one from a smaller toy. She still tries to chew on this toy, going straight for the nose but has not yet gotten to the squeaker which is large enough that I don't believe would be a choking hazard if she did get to it. No soft toy is indestructible, but compared to other plush toys, this is more durable. Once the nose has been chewed off, I have simply hand stitched the hole closed and from then on she's no longer interested in chewing through it. Have run through the wash and comes out fine. When one eventually wears out I order a replacement and the 2 puppies compete once again over ownership.
